LOS TUCANES DE TIJUANA:
They left from Sinaloa.

They went with course to the border.
Four friends and a great dream.
The hope... That never dies.

With their suitcases full of dreams, they left from their Sinaloense land, each one on a different date, past various years and by chances of destiny they arrived in Tijuana, the most visited city of the world. There they met again. Without being musicians yet, only with hope of learning that great art they already had in their blood by inheritance of their family..
Already being all-together in Tijuana, their uncles, “LOS INCOMPARABLES DE TIJUANA” gave them their first instruments, and later with large sacrifices and with the aid of God, Mr. Benjamín Gama and Mr. Juan Potenciano, they were able to buy the other instruments they needed to begin their musical journey. That is how they began on April 13, 1987 in Bar Razza's Club in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico. They were baptized as “Los Tucanes de Tijuana” by one of their cousin, Rosario Quintero Gálvez.
In base of their creativity and musical themes, they have built step by step an image and a way to be, thanks to which since 1995, they have become Latin American Artists of greater influence and international impact. Their love songs, cumbias and corridos have been their best credentials to elevate to first place.

TAPY QUINTERO:
Before he launched his singing career, Tapy Quintero wrote and produced for other artists, making a name for himself as a songwriter and producer of multiple projects. Among them Los Buitres de Culiacan, Jose Esparza and other local talent from his hometown, Tijuana.
From a young age Tapy showed interest in music and being the heir of a great musical legacy, it is something that he has taken very seriously.
Being the son and having the name of one of the most popular interpreters of norteño music, Mario Quintero Lara, founder and lead singer of Los Tucanes de Tijuana, comes with great responsibility. With that in mind, he prepared himself to become a singer, musician, songwriter, and producer who is paving a successful path of his own.
Now, with his first production, Estudio B, he’s looking to shine on his own, showing his multiple musical abilities. All 13 songs that make up his debut album were written and produced by him, and as if that wasn’t enough, he also played the bajo quinto, one of the many instruments he dominates. With a variation of romantic songs, danceable songs, and corridos, he was able to release a very complete album.
Presenting a sound of his own, and with a great desire and aspiration to succeed, his career already looks very promising.
